Remote server recovery for Linux systems
Remote recovery support for private individuals dealing with Linux servers that have become inaccessible, unstable or seriously compromised after failed updates, configuration errors or system failures.
This service is designed for situations where the server can still be reached through an available remote access method, such as SSH, rescue mode, a hosting control panel, remote console, Proxmox console or another out-of-band management interface.
Typical recovery situations
- Server no longer boots correctly after an update
- Critical services fail to start
- Broken package upgrades or dependency problems
- Incorrect configuration changes causing system failure
- SSH access lost while another remote console remains available
- Filesystem or mount problems
- Bootloader, startup or systemd failures
- Recovery through VPS or dedicated server rescue mode
Remote access is required
Before any paid recovery work begins, I review the situation and confirm whether remote recovery is technically possible.
A working remote access path must be available. This may include SSH, rescue mode, a web console, serial console, Proxmox console, IPMI, iDRAC, iLO or another suitable remote management system.
This service does not cover physical hardware repair or situations where the system is completely unreachable and no remote management method exists.
How the service works
Recovery work is provided remotely and by appointment. I first assess the available access methods, the current system state and the safest recovery path.
The selected session covers up to the purchased support time. If additional time or more extensive work is required, I will explain it clearly and continue only after your approval.
No unnecessary changes
The goal is to restore access or system operation while keeping changes controlled and limited to what is actually necessary. Where possible, existing data, services and configurations are preserved.
This is a remote technical support service for private individuals.
